Supply Chain Assistant Manager

Job Description

The incumbent is responsible for driving the efficiency and effectiveness of the company's supply chain operations.  This includes inventory of raw materials, control of production planning, and control over the delivery of goods.

  • Design and review supply strategies including capacity, logistics, and fulfillment plans

  • Analyze supply risks such as lead time, business continuity, and import licenses, and develop appropriate solutions

  • Conduct root cause analysis of supply chain disruptions and recommend corrective actions

  • Represent the supply chain function in key business meetings and liaise with internal stakeholders

  • Negotiate contracts, prices, and delivery schedules with suppliers to meet the needs of the company and its business units.  Monitor the quantity and timing of deliveries

  • Forecast demand and inventory requirements using historical data

  • Implement strategies aimed at reducing costs, improving processes, and ensuring procurement best practices are followed across the organization

Requirements
  • Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business or equivalent

  • At least 10 years of working experience in the fields of supply chain management at an industrial company is required for the position, 5 of which in a Supervisory position

  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

  • Strong knowledge of logistics and warehouse operations, procurement processes, and vendor management

  • Attention to details and accuracy, having a strong understanding in inventory and demand management.

  • Strong analytical, planning, negotiating, and problem solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision making

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, to convey complex information in a clear manner to team members and other stakeholders

  • Joint visits with the principal to support end customers.
  • Working closely with the Sales Engineers to ensure that products recommended are working well towards customer's expectations.
  • Able to work independently to support multiple market segment in Indonesia (Nationwide).

The incumbent is responsible for handling and controlling the inventory of raw materials, control of production planning, and control over the delivery of goods. This includes :

  • Lead and manage PPIC team to achieve production, planning, and inventory control goals.
  • Making a work plan, handling PPIC works to ensure the production and inventory plan is matched with the demands of various departments.
  • Organize Warehouse works to ensure the efficiency of incoming and outgoing material, which includes material for production and inventory for sales departments.
  • Analyze production and sales inventory plan by calculating the date of demand, production capacity delivery planning, warehouse capacity, and other matters having significant impact to ensure the production runs timely and sales inventory delivered accurately, to be matched with customer's demands.
  • Evaluate, review, and determine the standard procedures in PPIC department so that the operations run well and accordingly.
  • Oversee inventory management, ensuring accurate tracking of materials and sales inventory.  Implement and maintain a robust inventory control system to minimize waste.
  • Communicate effectively with cross functional teams to achieve production and sales inventory goals.
