Continuous casters are one of the most critical operating areas in the steel plant. A possible stoppage or segment change in these casters due to lubrication failure can lead to huge production losses or deterioration of slab quality. With our 90 years of business experience, we now have solutions for over 80 different continuous casting machines, providing precisely the lubricants needed to increase productivity. Our Klüberplex HB 98-601 lubricant, for example, is a synthetic lubricant for pipelines exposed to high temperatures:

  • Increased component life as this new grease always reaches the bearing, and provides better protection at high temperatures
  • No hardening tendency even at temperatures exceeding 250 °C
  • Increased productivity with fewer unplanned bearing changes

Withstand harsh conditions with our specialty grease for hot rolling mills

Hot rolling mills are subject to high loads and shocks, along with contamination from water, steam, scale and rolling oil. Manual or centralised lubrication can be used. With a -10 to 160 °C service temperature, Klüberplex BE 91-502 grease is suitable for hot rolling mills, and offers many key advantages:
